Located near the center of the island and tucked between Mount Ka’ala and the Ko’olau Range, Mililani offers easy access to everything Oahu has to offer. Residents enjoy quick trips to the Honolulu area or North Shore, as well as their own close-knit community and amenities. The community is split by Interstate H-2, with different sides featuring different vibes. Every home in Mililani belongs to the Mililani Town Association, which includes monthly fees to help maintain seven different recreation centers and pools, as well as public parks and grounds in the area. Pineapple Field Roots
Originally, the land where Mililani sits served as pineapple fields until the 1960s. The land was then used as a master-planned community to meet the island’s growing need for housing. If you enjoy outdoor strolls, Mililani is the place for you — it’s one of the few Oahu communities that feature sidewalks throughout the neighborhoods thanks to its original planning, as well as many public parks to enjoy.
Classic Charm
Most homes in Mililani were built in the 1970s and 80s — younger than much of Oahu’s real estate market, but not ideal if you’re looking for a newer home. There are few, if any, “brand new” developments or neighborhoods. Instead, expect an older charm, wide streets, and sidewalls throughout Mililani neighborhoods.
