Ewa Beach sits on the ‘Ewa Plain on the south shore of West Oahu, just west of the Pearl Harbor entrance and next door to Kapolei. Once home to the sugar fields of the Ewa Plantation, the area has grown into one of the most active home markets on the island, with long stretches of coastline, newer master-planned neighborhoods, and older plantation-era streets all within a few miles of each other.

Getting Around
Ewa Beach is close to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Kalaeloa, and the Skyline rail line begins at the East Kapolei station nearby, giving residents another way into the Pearl City and Aiea area. Like most of West Oahu, the drive into town depends heavily on traffic, so we always walk buyers through real commute times for their schedule before they choose a neighborhood.
A Plantation Past
Ewa’s history is still easy to see. The Ewa Villages preserve plantation-era homes and streets, and the Hawaiian Railway Society runs historic train rides through the area on the old Oahu Railway line. It’s a fun reminder that much of today’s West Oahu grew out of the sugar industry.
